So finally the snow has melted away and it’s time to get down to our plans for 2010! We have successfully helped our clients last year to improve their search engine rankings, traffic and ultimately leads and sales by using a number of traditional SEO techniques such as keyword analysis, unique content generation and quality link building and more recently the use of social media such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook etc. BUT we realise that we really need to be ‘Walking the Walking’ and not just ‘Talking the Talk’.

So to this end I would like to throw some bold ranking goals out there for BeSupported in 2010 and this post will serve as a reminder as to what we set out to achieve!

A few months after joining BeSupported I did some SEO and link building work on our site specifically around the terms SEO Surrey, Search Engine Surrey etc and as Google does, they pushed us up the rankings pretty quickly then we stopped working on this (paid work comes first) and guess what….after a month or so those first page rankings had all but disappeared!

So what are we going to be doing this year….

1. Be consistent with our search engine marketing
2. Attain and maintain first page rankings for the local terms such as searching engine marketing, Surrey, Hampshire etc BUT more specifically focus on the ones that actually convert to business (more on this in future posts)
3. Get a higher percentage of new business via our website and social media
4. Use more video and audio &
5. Be honest, ethical and have fun – as per usual!
